Gotthelm

Who is this hero who whose deeds go unknown throughout the galaxy, yet affect the lives of all be they just or wicked? My name is Gotthelm, of the few remaining Jedi in this galaxy who still defend the rights of the feeble. A great enemy am I to those malevolent, however an even greater friend to those pure in heart.
As a child back on Mon Calamari, I was an orphan. No one knew who my parents were, or where I had come from. The elders told me stories of the Jedi and how they defended the galaxy from strife and chaos. It was not until one of those Jedi came to me in a dream was I certain of my belief. I was a Jedi. I grew up quick and learned the ways of the Force unaided by those who knew, as I was always forced to do. I had only the stories to assist me. They taught me the ways; they taught me how a true Jedi should act.
Years later I had another vision of a Jedi. He told me to go to Ord Mantell, where I would meet him to be trained properly. All I got from him were a lightsaber and a few words of wisdom before he died. I did however meet Spam, an odd looking mini-bear-like creature with a fuzzy head who would be my companion through think and thin for my adventures to follow. I devoted the rest of my life to those who need assistance.
As fate would have it in these strange times, I also met three other Jedi. One turned to the dark side, another is with me today yet power hungry, and the third has recently become my padawan. I also met along my ways a brave soldier and a comical diplomat. We have formed together to create quite the motley group of adventurers. Together we will do our part to bring harmony to the chaos in the galaxy.
As a side note to those interested, I am not entirely a goody two-shoes. Many say that I have mystery looming in my eyes. I have tried my hand at being a pirate, commander of an armada and the founder and leader of a confederacy of imperialists bent on the domination of scores of systems.
Watch as this Jedi Knight evolves.

Senator Sidewalk Shooting Investigation

Senator Sidewalk Shooting Investigation

Totaw gave Ireak, Gotthelm, and Spam a new mission. “As the base on Kyoh is established, we need you to help with a local dispute. Aled Kuyli, a Senator of the Planetary Protectors was found dead in an alleyway this morning. Both Jose Skysprinter, the local crime lord, and the police are looking into the crime. Jose is a valuable asset to the rebellion and we need to make sure that he is happy with Kyoh. For if he leaves, so could his support.”
They walked to the alleyway in search of clues. Two doors were in the alleyway, one lead to a cantina, the other to a private residence. In the cantina, the group notices a well dressed noble who looked out of place.
Ireak addressed the noble, “What do you know about the humanitarian rights movement?”
The noble looked at Ireak funny, and then ignored him. Ireak responded by looking back funnier and says, “Do you know anything about the murder that happened outside this cantina?”
“I’m sorry for your loss if you are a friend of the family, but I really do not care about Aled. Now could you please leave me alone?”
Gotthelm turned to some nearby thugs and questioned them, but they also knew nothing about the murder. Ireak bites one of the thugs, in hope of encouraging him memory, but the thug just shoved the bothan away and leaves.
The three then go to the private residence and find the door to be locked. Ireak played with the lock for a minute and opened the door. They walked in and Spam searched around. “Hey, look at this blaster rifle! It is modified for sniping,” Spam growled.
Ireak went back across the dark alley into the cantina, and worked on finding more information about the rifle. After about an hour of sitting in the cantina and talking to people, he concluded that a rodian named Ghutto had been bragging about the rifle for a few weeks. Ireak takes a scrawled note of Ghutto’s address and the group goes to his house. They find Ghutto lying on the floor, with obvious blaster wounds, sitting at his computer. Spam hurried to the computer and looked around at some recently opened files. He pointed to an email that reads,
To: Ghutto
From: Futyiop
Subject: Aled Kuyli
Kill Him.
“Simple message,” Ireak says. Ireak lead the group back into the cantina to meet the well dressed noble who identified himself as Futyiop. Gotthelm pushed him into a corner.
“Who are you? Do you know who I am? Let go of me!” Futyiop said.
Gotthelm explained, “We have evidence that you hired a rodian assassin to kill Senator Aled, and then you killed the rodian.”
“He was about to vote against me in an important vote today. He needed to be removed from office,” the huiijyi noble said.
“You dirty politician,” Gotthelm uttered in disgust.
“I’ll give you ten thousand credits, just don’t tell anyone about this,” Futyiop demanded.
Ireak said, “He sounds alright to me.”
“I won’t allow you to take bribes like this Ireak,” Gotthelm said, with a subtle tap to his lightsaber.
Ireak got the hint. Then he pulled out his comlink, “Dreaks, Ralk, I need you here.” Ireak, Spam, and Gotthelm waited for Ireak’s diplomatic aides to arrive. The aides then escorted the corrupt senator along with them. The group went to Jose Skysprinter’s house.
Jose asked, “You are here to look into the murder of my friend Aled, I presume.”
Ireak told his aides, who were carrying Futyiop upside down, to walk forward and present her to Jose. “See this guy, imagine him right side up, and that’s the killer.”
Jose went inside his house and pulled out three sacks of credits and gave one to Gotthelm, Spam, and Ireak.
“There is two thousand in each of these bags. Thank you very much.”

This adventure was played in December 2005. It took about 20-25 minutes to play, hence the short write up. It was used to introduce the heroes to a more open ended style of play. The following adventure, the assassination of Moff Frionde took close to 3 hours and was very open ended.
Note: Jose Skysprinter in this story and as my post name is not related to Tom or Antonio Skysprinter, in game or out of game.

Description

Munjo is a volcanic planet, and appears to be reddish black from space. It has two moons, Selventia and Bosquetino. Both are thriving forest and jungle moons.

History

Munjo as a planet, practically is history. It once was a planet full of life, but about 200 years ago, the volcanoes began to take the planet over. Huáng Dí sent over ships to ferry many of the inhabitants to the two moons. Many of the more prominent people of Munjo traveled to Selventia, the jungle moon. As these people had the most power, the Huáng Dí Empire made them pay for the favor of the ferries. The new Selventians promised that they would sell all children born with blonde or red hair to the Huáng Dí Empire. The Bosquetinos got out of the deal easier. The Huáng Dí Empire comes over to collect a rare fruit from the moon.

The humans of the two moons have grown to hate each othcompetitione competetion. They hating relationship has never reached the point of violence. They have the Munjo games, every two years, where athletes from both moons compete in various sports and games.
The real attraction to Munjo, is the search for the Crown of Kings. Search teams from both planets have been searching for this ancient artifact for over five years. The crown was the symbol of power from the old days, when life existed on Munjo. Now, the moons believe that the crown will bring them luck if they find it.

History

The Huáng Dí Empire controlleded and controled the planet for all of known history. The empire is ruled by an emperor, which is chosen from the royal family of Huáng. The Huáng Dí Empire controls 438 of the 472 islands on the planet. Their army is large and they have a space armada. Their space age is still in its first steps, but quickly progressing. The islands that are not under control by the empire, have few inhabitants, resources, or strategical value, and have peaceful relations with the empire.
The Huáng Dí Empire is, of course, an Imperialistic world. They believe that they have the right to all the planets in their system. They have colonized New Huáng Dí and control the trade, and to some extent the life styles, of the citizens who live on the moons of Munjo.
